The world population increased from 2.5 billion to 6.1 billion people.According to few estimates, it will be 10.9 billion by 2050.The increasing trend is mostly visible in the developing countries where rates of natural increase are much higher than industrialized countries which has lead to an introduction of population control policies in many countries.In today,s world improved sanitation, nutrition, and medical care has decreased death rates, and thus more babies survive their early life years. These have resulted in the tremendous increase throughout the world.

It represents 20% of the world, so one in every person of the world is a Chinese citizen.Its growth has somewhat controlled by the one-child policy.
